Toys ‘R Us Launches Cash for Baby Crib Clunkers Trade in Program
Due to safety concerns in high ticket baby items and the numerous product recalls ordered by the Consumer Products Safety Commission, Toys “R” Us announced today a national program that provides customers the opportunity to trade-in used cribs, car seats and other baby products in exchange for savings on a new item. Dubbed the “Great Trade-In” it’s purpose is to draw attention to safety concerns in products like cribs and car seats that should not be handed down or resold.
Babies R Us Price Fixing Lawsuit Gets Class-Action Status
A federal judge in Philadelphia this week gave class action status to a lawsuit filed against a division of Toys R Us Inc., claiming the toy store worked with merchants to prevent discounts on everything from car seats and strollers to breast pumps and hands-free infant carriers in an effort to compete with online retailers.
