For five years, Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow bottle has been a product American Baby magazine has described as a products ‘parents can’t live without.’ But the award-winning BPA-free baby bottle contained the highest traces of the toxic chemical according to recent Health Canada tests. The ban of BPA in baby bottles is steadily being passed state by state in the United States. But the entire country of Canada will no longer be taking any chances on the much debated chemical. The country has banned baby bottles that are made from rigit plastics and Bisphenol A. This makes Canada the first country in the world to adopt a blanket regulation against BPA in the manufacturing of plastic baby bottles.
Over the past few months, the rise in concern over the chemical bisphenol A (or BPA) has lead mothers to worry about what else their baby might be drinking from their bottle other than milk. Company Prince Lionheart might have found a solution to put an end to all the bottle fever. They have created a silicone baby bottle. Silicone is natural substance that contains no chemicals and is 100% safe for babies. “Now, parents who are concerned about the health of their babies have a safe and natural alternative to plastic baby bottles,” said Kelly Griffiths, President and CEO of Prince Lionheart. According to a report released by a coalition of scientists and environmental-health advocacy groups, common baby bottles sold across North America contain “very significant” levels of BPA, Phtalates, lead, and PVC, chemicals linked to infertility, obesity, diabetes, thyroid disease, breast cancer, prostate cancer and respiratory complications. These chemicals have even turned up in harmful levels in popular baby bottles sold throughout the U.S. and Canada including Avent, Dr. Brown’s, Evenflo, Gerber, and Platex. Unlike most of their plastic counterparts, Prince Lionheart’s Silicone Baby Bottles contain NO Bisphenol A, Phthalates, PVC, or lead, and are heat-resistant, microwavable, shatterproof and dishwasher safe, making it the safe and smart choice for parents. The plastic ring, plug and cap contain no polycarbonates and are food grade, FDA approved to provide the safest feeding experience for baby.
