Knowing Jennifer of Memento Desgins‘ obsession with anything and everything vintage and shabby chic-esque, her best friends chosethrew her a lady-like tea party baby shower. Hosted at Chocolate Angel Café and Tearoom in Plano,TX, the high tea event (held at tea time, of course!) was themed “A Baby is Brewing.”
The private tearoom served as the perfect shabby chic setting for her baby girl’s shower. Distressed gold frames and mirrors adorned the walls and crystal chandeliers danced above the guests who wowed at delicate touches for decor. Antique white chairs were tucked neatly under tables dressed with vintage-inspired linens and mercury glass vases filled with lush, pink and white hydrangea-rose arrangements.
As each guest entered, she was asked to write her well wishes and advice to the soon-to-be-mommy on a chalkboard and get a picture, resulting in an album of cherished memories.
A pennant of dainty, baby girl dresses— smocked dresses, lace petticoats and Peter Pan collars— served as a main focal point at the cake table.
For the baby girl, guests penned their wishes on the “Wishes for Baby” cards laid at each place setting alongside muslin, teapot favor bags containing assorted tea bags.
The guests dined on white chocolate scones, tea sandwiches, petit quiches, chicken salad tartlets, puffed pastries, fruit and delectable pink cupcakes.
And, of course, tea was served in a hodgepodge of romantic vintage teacups. The afternoon was truly magical and perfectly girly!
Thanks so much for sharing with us Jennifer!
