Sweet Treat Pink Ice Cream Themed Baby Shower for This Girl

Photographer Allison Van Zanten and her friend Lisa threw a beautiful pink baby shower for their dear friend Jenn who was expecting a baby girl on the 4th of July. Since Jenn prefers the sweet taste of ice cream to most other dessert treats, they created a yummy ice cream celebration in honor of Jenn’s baby. Inspired by a party they had seen on Eat Drink Chic, Lisa’s parents created homemade ice cream to serve to guests.

Lisa created colorful paper mobiles, ribbon streamers and a paper banner through DIY ideas she saw to serve as backdrops to our ice cream sundae table, the gift table and the drink service area. “We also had a wishing tree for guests to leave notes of blessing, prayer or well wishes.”

An ice cream topping station included an assortment of fruit, sauces, nuts, candies and whip cream to decorate the sundaes with and ultimately it was a hit with all the guests.
Just in case your sweet tooth wasn’t in the mood for ice cream, lovely cupcakes were also offered.
