Pink and Grey Sugar and Spice Butterfly Girl Baby Shower
Baby Lifestyles | Oct 09, 2012 | Comments 1

Despite the fact that this pink and grey baby shower was planned entirely online from two separate states, hostess Kimberly of Seriously Daisies feels everything came together perfectly for her sister’s baby shower. “I love the pink daisies that Liz picked out, they are my favorite flower, and so pretty! Almost every single thing at the shower was made by either Liz or myself.”
The blanket that Kimberly crocheted for the baby inspired the colors for the baby shower, and for the nursery too. “We were already leaning toward pink and gray. Then Danetta remembered the blanket that I had made, and instantly knew those were the colors. It made everything really easy, I just got out the yarn I had used to make it, and matched everything to those colors.”
The gifts banner was one of the first things Kimberly made for the baby shower. The day the colors were decided, she was itching to make something, went upstairs to her craft room and started layering her papers. “Once I had the papers picked out, I used my silhouette to cut everything out, glued everything together, and then stung it up on some pink yarn.”

One of my favorite decorations is the yarn wrapped table signs. They were cheap to make, and looked really pretty. And I love that Danetta used them in Mila’s nursery.”

Liz made all the food, and “did a wonderful job too”. There were cheese and veggie platters, baby quiche, caprese toothpicks, bacon wrapped cocktail sausages, cucumber tea sandwiches, strawberry jam & cream cheese sandwiches, crescent roll cocktail sausages, spinach dip, bruschetta and deli wraps. She even bought an Edible Arrangement for guests with a healthy sweet tooth.

Kimberly made all of the sweets, packed them, along with a cart full of other party stuff, and brought it all to California a couple days before the shower. “The chocolate covered Oreos were one of the yummiest sweets, and looked pretty impressive too, even though they were easy to make. For the sweets table she made cake pops, raspberry macaroons, candy dipped marshmallows, dipped pretzels, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered oreos and the pink lemonade pie.
Danetta and Liz made the m&m cookies. Kimberly aunt made the cupcakes. There was also a candy bar, strawberry marshmallows and creme wafers.
“I’m so proud of the tutu cupcake stand. I decided to make it with things around the house (soup cans, foam board, ribbon and leftover tulle from a tutu I made my niece) so I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. But I loved it and so did my sister Danetta. The sweets table wouldn’t have been the same without it.”
“I love my little sister and am so happy that me and Liz were able to throw her such a beautiful baby shower.” Thanks so much for sharing it with us Kimberly!
