A Blue and Yellow Elephant Flower Fantasy Baby Shower

Marci of Entwined Design created this elegant yellow and turqoise baby shower with an elephant theme for her friend Jennifer. Expecting a little pachyderm herself, the elephant theme was inspired by the theme of her future little one’s nursery.

For the floral arrangements, Marci kept to the blue, yellow and white color palette of the day. She choose white hydrangea, Grand Prix Roses and mixed them with clusters of yellow Cymbidium orchids. “For an extra special touch, orchids were also hung under the umbrella centerpieces as if they were “showering” the guests.” The umbrellas make for a great DIY project. Marci created them by using PVC pipe and wrapping it using coordinating ribbons.

Custom made linens matched the umbrellas and added to the bright and cheery atmosphere. Guests enjoyed an adorable elephant cake for dessert, along with buttercream frosted cupcakes topped with handsome elephant cupcake toppers.
