One thing that mom-to-be Allison loves more than babies and hair-bows is popcorn. So for her baby shower celebrating the arrival of Elsie Ruth, she had a pink popcorn baby shower hosted and photographed by her friend Katie Day. Can’t you smell the freshly popped kernels?
To kick off a day for a girl with a serious popcorn obsession, Katie created ‘popcorn bag’ invitations for Allison. Pink stripes let guests know they’re in a day for girliness and the bag let’s them know she’s ‘Ready to Pop!’
Popcorn details were everywhere in this popping pink shower. The cake pops were designed to look like white soft kernels of popped goodness. And Katie even used popcorn in her mason jar centerpieces to hold up white puffed tissue paper poms on skewers.
Since the day was to celebrate Elsie Ruth, her name and ‘E’ initial were used throughout the day as decoration.
We’re wowed with this banner made of ombre colored nursery paint chip samples. What a brilliant idea! We’re pretty sure this beautiful banner will soon be hanging in Elsie’s nursery.
Best wishes and guest sign ins were done on diapers! Love this idea that as mom changes Elsie in those first few days, she will smile at the sign of a dirty diaper!
For games, guests played a customized game of Elise Ruth Madlibs. This was done by Katie herself for her friend. You have to laugh as you read hilarious Madlibs like “Allison’s family and friends arrived by CAMEL and gathered in the waiting room.“
Since Allison is a crafty girl who love hair bows, Katie arranged for her baby shower guests to create hair bow rosettes as an activity. Using fabrics, feathers, buttons and crystals, look at the beautiful headpieces Elsie will now have to accessorize her infant outfits!
Thanks for sharing Elsie Ruth’s beautiful baby shower with us Katie!
