Colorful Fox First Birthday Party for Happy Boy
Baby Lifestyles | May 11, 2012 | Comments 1

With so many fun options food wise, Caroline from Armelle threw her son Thomas a fox inspired first birthday party. “It was fun to put together the menu!” The fox print by Olive Lake was the inspiration behind the party, so Caroline displayed it prominently on the entry table along with some flowers.
“I found the cutest little flowers in pots at Harmons, a local grocery store. the orange color was perfect for the party, and so darn cute! the succulents and woven pot are from ikea.

She served milk, chocolate milk, and sparkling clementine juice for the drinks. For food, she got cinnamon rolls and put them on tall cookie pop sticks. She had a blast making a donut hole tree. “I hung the donut holes on a styrofoam cone painted with chocolate and attached them with toothpicks.”
Her favorite part about the yogurt parfaits was using Japanese masking tape to hold on the darling little spoons she found for a bargain at Ikea.

Since it was a brunch, Caroline thought it would be appropriate to serve a “donut cake” using her favorite chocolate cake donuts from Dunford bakeries. She added some fun flags using skewers in the top, and cut the flags with die cuts. I always end up getting too much candy, but the kids love it, of course!”
She played around with the decor using colors from the theme and struck gold when she started playing around with crepe paper fringe.

“I loved the out come! Using a fringe paper tutorial, she twisted fringe stripes and taped them to an embroidery hoop which hung from fishing wire. What beautiful chandeliers they make!
