When she was approached by Miranda’s mom to design a sweet shop party Maylene of Malu Boutiques was so happy, as she is a sweet lover herself. “Working with Miranda’s mom was easy and fun, Miranda and my son go to school together. We chat every morning. So when she asked us to help her with her daughter’s party, we stepped up to the challenge. We immediately started brainstorming with all the little details that can be done.”
The backdrop art design was purchased at Home Goods as well as the candy jars. “When I first saw the Sweet Shop art design I thought it was perfect and darling for theme.”
What an incredible dessert and candy table! Talk about a sugar rush! Let’s break down all the candy Maylene showcased beautifully for Miranda!

Rock candy provided beautiful colors for the table in pink, sea green and teal. The teal even matches the scalloped printables! “I also love the rainbow nerds, yummy!”

For a primary color look, sour worms, gummy fish and chocolate covered sixlets were placed in glass canisters to showcase the main colors of the rainbow.

We see cake pops quite frequently, but Maylene set up marshmallow cupcake pops! Individually wrapped marshmallow cupcakes in sweet pastel colors were placed on sticks, popsicle style! So cute!
Are you having a tooth ache yet? Well there’s more. Cupcakes were flavored in vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, cookie dough and a fruity guava. There was even an extra large cupcake for the birthday girl! “One of my faves is the guava. They are just delish have you tried one yet?”
“When designing our banners we try to make each banner different for everyone. That’s why when designing this banner I had a blast. I spelled out Miranda’s name with lollipops. I fell in love with the candy banner.”

Maylene made candy inspired topiary trees in pink, green and yellow made from cupcake liners. Giant lollipop displays were made out of different colored plates. Along with a sign beside them saying sweet treats.
As a thank you favor, each guest received a gumball machine. During the party, there was a large gumball machine for guests to enjoy chewing on.
Hope you took a bite out of Miranda’s party! Thanks Maylene for sharing this sweet tooth party with us!
