A Pink Floral Baby Girl Nursery Reveal

Amy from Watch Me Daddyhad so much fun getting this nursery ready for her baby girl, Haven. “Every project I worked on just made me feel closer to her, and like we were building a friendship along the way.”
Her favorite part of the room ended up being the flowers on canvases. “Something about them just makes me happy. The colors are strong, but not overbearing. I like that they sort of burst out at me. Makes the room feel alive.” The biggest challenge in putting together this nursery, was that she had so many ideas of different things she wanted to do, but couldn’t get a picture of it all together. ”I like to have an image in my mind of what the final product will look like, but I just couldn’t get it for this room. So, I just had to go for it and hope for the best. Luckily, it all kind of came together. It’s scary when you’re doing pretty big projects and you’re not sure how they’ll turn out.”
There were five major DIY projects for Amy in putting Haven’s room together. Instead of doing a board and batten treatment, she did a trellis wall design. “I love how it turned out!” She also created all the crib bedding including the bumper pad, sheet and crib skirt. A quick project that gets a lot of use is the bow holder which she made from an old frame. She wanted to make a statement with the wall canvases and she certainly did. “What I love most about it, is that it adds a bit of depth and dimension to the room. Plus, who doesn’t love pretty flowers.” To make her frame, Amy had a friend use her wood cutter to create a special shape frame that she can just slide pictures in and out of. “I painted it with a nice metallic, then added some flowers to tie into the wall canvas.”
