Blue and Green Tropical Under the Sea Boy Nursery for Walt

Wendy happily admits that she went “design happy all over the place for the past nine months” when it came to designing son Walt’s tropical oasis nursery. “This is out of character for me, as I am usually just focused on the murals and not so much the rest of the room.”
In creating this special place, Wendy learned a lot about designing in 3D as opposed to simply trying to make the walls look good. As a result, Walter loves his cool beach bungalow, complete with angel fish swimming towards him.
By using cool ocean and sea tones such as the aqua and greens in the comfy recliner and pouf, Wendy gave the nursery an under the sea feel without having to do the theme literally. Adding white curtains with blue coral crawling up them was also a great tropical touch.

“Look for bargains and DIY as much as possible!” Wendy advises others who covet her nursery look. “I love handmade, so most of my nursery is one-of-a-kind items. This truly makes a cozy and peaceful nursery unique as well. My favorite detail is Walter’s name letters because that was a project I did with my 12 year old “baby”, Brad!”
Thanks Wendy for sharing Walt’s cool and tranquil nursery with us!
