Blue and White Blessing Party for Baby Boy

For her son Kruz’s blessing party, mom Kaysi wanted more of a celebration. It was the first time many of her friend were going to meet her little boy, and she wanted him to be the star of the day.
She chose the blue and white color palette to match Kruz’s birth announcements. “I wanted something kind of traditional!” She decided on the centerpieces first, making them herself. “They turned out exactly how I wanted them.”
For the party details, Kaysi decided to keep it simple. “I had balloons outside, an easel with a newborn picture of Kruz, three centerpieces with hydrangeas and curly willow. The dessert bar and pale blue fabric runners.”
Kaysi set up a great menu of chicken salad sandwiches, fruit and veggie trays, deviled eggs, parmesan rolls, macaroni salad, and watermelon. For dessert she served chocolate chip cookies, oreo truffles, cupcakes, cream puffs, almond roca, tootsie rolls and homemade heath bar ice cream. For her pink and regular lemonade drinks, Kaysi used mason jars and added umbrellas for a festive touch. “I used syrup to get the sugar attached to the rims.”
Kaysi’s favorite cupcakes are from Manolias Bakery in New York City. She made these cupcakes herself using their chocolate and butter cream frosting recipe. Thanks Kaysi for sharing Kruz’s special day with us! And take a peek at the amazing “How Tweet it Is Baby Shower” Kaysi planned as well!
