DIY – Make Your Own Flower Baby Headbands

Making a beautiful flower headband for your baby is incredibly easy. If you go to any of your local craft stores, they will have all the supplies you need and some will even have entire sections for you to get what you need. The actual bands needed for infants are softer, and there are special ones to fit your needs. Craft stores will also have pre-made flowers, so you can find the colors you like and also the type of flowers. Hot trends right now are the beautiful, over-sized Gerbera daisies. What’s great about making your own baby headbands is you can create bands for holidays, to coordinate with baby outfits, or make special ones for portraits.

Supplies:
soft head band
flower
hair clips
hot glue gun

Directions:
1. If you bought a fake flower with a stem, cut the stem part off.
2. Take the flower apart and use a hot glue gun to stick them back together. Helpful tip: If you leave the hard piece on they won’t sit flat.
3. Once dried, hot glue the hair clips on to the flower, and let them dry over night. This way you can unclip the flowers and put it on a different band.
4. Clip the flower to the band. It’s that simple!

Craft stores will also have bows, feathers, and jewels to add to your clips to make them as colorful or decadent as you would like.

If you’d like to buy a baby headband, here are some beautiful designs we love. They’re also great DIY inspiration!
