‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Baby on the Way for Jessica Capshaw

Baby fever continues on the set of Grey’s Anatomy. The mommy to join the diaper duty brigade will be Jessica Capshaw’s second child, due later this year. Capshaw plays Dr. Arizona Robbins on the hit show, a lesbian doctor who does not want children.
Both Grey sisters, Ellen Pompeo and Chyler Leigh, had baby daughters in mid 2009. Former cast member Katherine Heigl adopted daugher Naleigh around the same time. Eric Dane and wife Rebecca Gayheart welcomed Baby McSteamy on March 3, 2010.
There’s no word yet on how Capshaw’s pregnancy will be handled by “Grey’s” writers. Since her character has recently announced her intent to remain permanently child-free, we’re guessing that the pregnancy won’t be integrated into the storyline.
Jessica’s mother Kate Capshaw married Steven Spielberg when Jessica was fifteen years old after the actress collaborated with the director on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. On May 22, 2004 Jessica married her husband and entrepreneur and CEO of Healthy Child, Healthy World, Christopher Gavigan. Together, they have one child, a son Luke.
