Brad and Angelina Set To Adopt from Philippines After Burmese Adoption Falls Through

Madonna isn’t the only A-lister to be denied an adoption from a foreign country. Last week, Hollywood ‘It’ couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie hit a roadblock in their bid to adopt a baby from the strict authorities in Burma (Myanmar). Rather than take up residence in the small country–the way Madonna apparently is in Malawi–the Academy Award nominated duo are planning to add another member to their rainbow family from the Philippines.
Angelina, 33, took a break from her latest film Salt to go to the Philippines capital Manila with partner Pitt in an effort to add to her family. “Brad and Ange flew out together. They want to add to their family and tried to adopt from Burma but the authorities are very strict, so they decided to look at the Philippines,” said a source.
The superstars already have three adopted kids — Maddox, 8, from Cambodia, Pax, 5, from Vietnam and Zahara, 4, from Ethiopia besides three biological kids — Shiloh, 2, and 8-month-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
