Octomom Publicist Quits, Buys Home, Brokers Deal with Dr. Phil

Octuplet mom Nadya Suleman has a lot going on in her life, as if being the mother to 14 children wasn’t enough of a juggling act. One publicist already quit working for her last month, now former-publicist says he is no longer representing her because spinning the PR for the octomom “just got to be too much.”
Victor Munoz announced to the world that he quit representing Suleman Friday night because “Nadya got real greedy. This woman is nuts.” Suleman’s first publicist, Joann Killeen, also stepped aside. Munoz’s departure is just the latest in a series of bizarre developments involving the mother of 14 who made headlines after giving birth to octuplets in January.
But there’s a bright light in the life of Suleman. Her father, who just last week begged Oprah for help with his daughter–no word on if the Divine Ms. O paid for that interview, just helped her buy a $565,000, 2,583-square-foot house in La Habra, CA with four bedrooms, a large master bedroom (Not bad for an unemployed woman in this housing economy). Yet that still doesn’t seem to be enough for eight newborn babies, much less six other growing children. The large family – minus the octuplets, who are still in the hospital after their Jan. 26 birth – will move in either over the weekend or early next week.
The “substantial down payment” supposedly came from money that Octomom has raked in over the last few weeks from various appearances, Internet blogs and interviews. TMZ.com said “The money has been coming from all over the place.”
In the meantime, Dr. Phil McGraw announced yesterday that Suleman has come to an agreement to help care for her 14 children with Angels In Waiting, which will initially provide around-the-clock neonatal nursing service for the octuplets.
“I am delighted that Nadya understood that the offer from Angels In Waiting was made in the best interest of the children and I am equally delighted that we could find a way to provide help and support so that she could remain in her own neighborhood,” said celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, who represents the nonprofit group. Suleman rebuffed the offer when the Angels refused to be a part of Nadya’s wish to star with her brood in a reality show. We’ll let you know when to set your Tivo for the Octomom Show.
